Co-Presidents
Kinza Rahman
Kinza (she/her) is in her last year at SFU, completing her Political Science major alongside a Health Science minor. She is passionate about Human Rights and Family law, and this is her third year as an exec on the Pre-Law team. She is currently working at her second law firm, heavily involved in divorce and family law. Kinza enjoys doing portrait and street photography which takes up most of her downtime and is on a team of a large Vancouver-based photography group that she is actively involved in. She hopes to write the LSAT after she graduates, and pursue a JD program where she can explore Immigration and Refugee law.
Alvie Rahman
Alvie is wrapping up the last year of his undergraduate degree. He is in the International Studies program and is in the third concentration, focusing on security and conflict around the world. In particular, Alvie is passionate about protecting and preserving human rights and peacefully resolving disputes involving states and non-state actors. In his downtime, Alvie is an avid reader and loves to keep up with current events. He also spends a fair bit of time on local basketball courts shooting around with friends or hiking at the various trails in the Lower Mainland. This will be Alvie’s second year in SFU’s Pre-Law Society. Previously, his role on the team was as VP Finance, however, this year he will be taking up the Co-President position. During this next year, Alvie will be working his way through the Law School admissions process and looks forward to connecting with his peers - in person - along the journey!

Indroop Dhaliwal
Indroop (she/her) is in her second year at SFU and this is her first year as an executive on the pre-law society team! She is majoring in Philosophy and Law as well as minoring in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies. She is passionate about everything and anything related to law. In her free time, Indroop is an avid reader, enjoys physical activity, and spending time with family/ friends. Indroop will pursue law school after she graduates and will continue to facilitate her passion for implementing change for justice.

Arionne Singh
Arionne is in her fourth year at SFU majoring in Criminology with a legal certificate. After completing her degree at SFU, she plans to take a gap year and later attend law school with a focus in Corporate Law. In her free time, she enjoys going out with friends to eat and enjoys hiking around the Lower Mainland.

Valentina Koncarevic
Valentina (she/her) is in her fourth year at SFU, completing a double major in Accounting and Human Resources. She has been part of PLS since 2020. Valentina has worked in the business field for over 5 years and recently completed an internship at Edwin S. W. Kong & Co as an accounting assistant. She is always looking for ways to take on new projects while collaborating with others. When Valentina isn't working or studying, she enjoys the outdoors and traveling.

Jasmine Bura
Jasmine (she/her) is completing her third year in the criminology program as well as a Legal Studies certificate. This year is her first year in the SFU Pre Law Society. Jasmine’s current job as an assistant at a law firm has aspired her to take more law classes and gain an interest in family and corporate law. In her free time, Jasmine enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Alyssa Victorino
Alyssa (she/her/hers) is a third-year psychology major with a Minor in Sociology and a Certificate in Social Justice. She hopes to pursue a career in law and social work, with a keen interest in Human Rights and Family Law. She is currently working as the Program Assistant with the Sexual Violence Support and Prevention Office at SFU. Alyssa watches a lot of movies and TV shows in her free time and enjoys taking photos of her travels.
Peter Gemmell
Peter is a fourth-year student at the Beedie School of Business studying finance and MIS. He is passionate about the craft of financial investing and using judicious professional practices to diligently and equitably meet the needs of young Canadian families and small businesses. Outside of school, Peter’s hobbies include motorcycling, drumming, reading, and discovering new musical genres, and other interests include economics, 20th century history, and political science.
